This half day tour from Florence will allow you to discover Siena and Chianti; the excursion includes an afternoon visit to the beautifu Palio’s city, and, in the late afternoon, when sunset is cooming and colours the sky in red and orange, we will reach the heart of the Chianti hills where we will have a suggestive dinner in a cellar, surrounded by wine barrels that create a unique atmosphere.

We will leave from the center of Florence in the early afternoon to reach Siena. Our driver will leave you very close to Piazza del Campo and here you will have about 2 hours of free time to discover this wonderful city, passing through the most curious alleys that offer unique views of the city and of the famous Duomo. We will then leave for Chianti and reach the heart of this region, that is famous all over the world for its wine, we will stop in a cellar immersed in the green hills of the area. You will here have some time to take beautiful photos during sunset time and than we will start the visit of the cellar where the owners will explain us the whole process that goes from the grape to the bottle. At the end we will stop in the last room of the route, an underground cellar whose walls are adorned with rows of barriques (small wooden barrels) where the wine carries out its natural aging process. Here we will find a beautiful table set for our delicious dinner with courses paired with locally produced wines.

Dinner consists of 4 courses:

- an appetizer consisting of local cold cuts and cheeses paired with a Rosé ‘Spumante’ 

- the ribollita (typical Tuscan soup of bread and vegetables) combined with a Chianti Classico

- 'Alla Cacciatora' chicken or selection of Cheeses for Vegetarians paired with a Chianti Classico Riserva

- Cantuccini (local biscuits) paired with the wine Il Munuzio IGT Toscana

At the end of the dinner you will have time to buy the wines tasted, the return to Florence is scheduled around 10 pm.
